2025 Fruit Tree List

Fall is the best time for planting, however, our fruit trees don't arrive until January so you'll need to plan accordingly! So while planting your perennials and shrubs this fall, don't forget to keep a spot open for a fruit tree or two!

The moment our fruit trees arrive mid-January, we will let you know here in our weekly newsletter! Please note that citrus and avocadoes are not included in our January shipment -- we tend to receive them spring through summer.

A few things to keep in mind when choosing between fruit tree varieties...

Pollination: Fruit trees may be self-fruitful or may need cross-pollination with a different variety. On our list, we've indicated if a pollenizer is required.

Chill Hours: Fruit trees need a number of hours under 45° in order to produce a good crop of fruit. Central Contra Costa County typically receives 700-1100 chill hours, while warmer winter areas such as Oakland and Berkeley typically receive 400-700 hours.

Our Fruit Tree List doesn't just include fruit trees either, click below to view what grape, hop, rhubarb, kiwi, blackberry and raspberry varieties we're expecting in January!
